Power Consumption Estimations

I base my estimations on a light bulb (incandescent bulb): 50 watts
TV 200 watts
Computer: 100 watts
Car: 50,000 watts
Motorcycle: 10,000 watts
Fridge: 1500 watts
Oven: 1500 Watts (to warm maybe only 500 watts, but for high heat higher watts)
Radio: 30 watts

After my estimations above, I searched the internet and found out the following:
A standard TV 188 Watts,   plasma TV: 336 Watts
Computer 40-120 watts
Fridge 1400 Watts
Oven 3000 Watts, toaster oven 1200 watts
Radio (clock radio): 7 watts.

Solar Cooker Stand

This video by national geographic speaks about the advantage of a solar cooker and show how food are cooked using this solar technology.   (It shows how this cooker can be used like an oven to  baked bread,  a whole chicken and rice. It features some people in California and  Nicaragua who use this cooker daily.
The reporter claims that because the solar cooker can melt wax, it can help sanitize water.
Cost: 5 dollar last 2 years.

Needs to be simple however, it needs to robust.

They need a better design for the door. They do not tell us what the problem is. So we try to come up with a new latch for the door because the current one would not operate well without a precise instillation.
This is a metal latch which cost 28 dollars at home depot. We can build one made out of wood.
Attach the “arm” to the oven door. We will cut a groove on another piece of wood and attach it to the side of the oven. To lock just lower the arm
